McMains Roofing | Contractor Spotlight

We would like to introduce our September Contractor in the Spotlight, Steve McMains ofMcMains Roofing. Both Washington State natives, Steveand Cathy McMains raised their four children, John, Phil, Ernest, and Misty, in Tacoma, Washington. To Steve and Cathy’s great joy, their family has grown over the years with the exciting addition of nine grandchildren.

Steve is no stranger to the roofing industry. He has been involved in the roofing world since 1984 and launched McMains Construction with his wife in 1996. Almost a decade later, they became McMains Roofing to better reflect their company focus.

What began as a two-person operation in 1996 has grown to twenty dependable employees in 2014. McMains Roofing has completed over 10,000 roofing projects within the greater Puget Sound Area. Their professional staff believes that the most rewarding part of their job is satisfying customers with a combination of experience and hard work. Several employees have been with the company for 10-15 years, providing loyal service and quality craftsmanship; they are true ambassadors of the company that Steve and Cathy have built. Steve states because of his amazing employees, “McMains Roofing has become as successful as it is today.”

One of their most trusted partners has been Dobler Management Company of Tacoma, Washington. The real estate services firm has worked with McMains Roofing since 1998. Throughout the 16 years they’ve worked together, Dobler Management has only used PABCO Roofing Products as their roofing shingles for each project on which they have collaborated. Family has proven to be a meaningful part of Steve and Cathy’s life. Many family members have worked in the business and employees are treated as extended family. When they are not working, Steve and Cathy enjoy traveling, fishing, hunting, and camping. At the end of the day, they enjoy any activity that allows them to explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest and spend quality time with their immediate and extended McMains family.
